The photogenic transformation of the "Zone": Tarkovski, Marker and Suzuki Takuji
Conference by Kentaro Sudoh
Mr. Kentaro Sudoh questions the concept of "zone" in the field of cinematic science fiction. Referenced by Andrei Tarkovski in Stalker, cited by Chris Marker in Sans Soleil, the notion of zone reappeared recently (in 2018) in Alex Garland's film Annihilation and Takuji Suzuki's The Call of Zon (Zon kara no message).
Lecture given as part of the Art and Science Fiction course.
Open to all audiences.
