The whimsical universe of Anna Uru is built on the porous border between fictional narrative and autobiography, candor and gaudiness, finesse and absurdity. She cultivates a passion for fantasy and kitsch that she distills into colorful compositions, carried by dehumanized characters.

With Les Turlutaines, she exhibits works that highlight her two favorite themes: love and representation of women. Forms and bodies mingle, colors come together in a gentle harmony; passion is both joyous and malicious...
