Important Dates and Organization for the Fall Semester

Pré-rentrée: From September 1st, 2021(Campuses Villejean and la Harpe in Rennes) 

The pré-rentrée event is an important week of meetings which allow students to meet with their various departments. This event is essential for new students in order to register for courses and become familiarized with administrative and pedagogical staff and procedures in their program. Students are notified by their respective departments of the dates and timeframes of meetings. You can also find out more information on dates and activities planned for Licence (Bachelor-level students) here.  Individual mobility students should contact the DÉVU Office for more information. During the week, students will have the opportunity to visit information stands from: the DÉVU, Sports (SIUAPS), CPAM (healthcare insurance) and more.

Pré-rentrée for the Mazier Campus (in Saint Brieuc)

Similar meetings will be held on Rennes 2's Mazier Campus from September 1st to 6th. See the detailed schedule here

Welcome Week for International Exchange Students: From September 6 - 10, 2021

Exchange students:  Exchange students will have orientation activities planned by the International Office during the Welcome Week. The Welcome Week is designed to familiarize students with their new university environment, you learn the basics like: how to register for classes, get a student card, or open a French bank account. Please contact the International Office if you may have any last-minute impediments that may prevent you from arriving on campus for the week's activities. 

Cirefe Students

French-language students of the CIREFE will also have specific welcome and orientation activities planned. You should receive any important information directly from their offices. For any questions, please contact the CIREFE offices. Although their offices will be closed for a short period in August , they will re-open from August 23rd. 


Beginning of classes: Monday, September 13 (with some exceptions)

Campus Rules for Limiting the Spread of Covid 19 

Wearing a mask is now mandatory in all higher education institutions in France. Students will have to respect this measure on university premises, in addition to the respect of physical distancing measures. You can find information and guidance from the French Government regarding the current outbreak of coronavirus disease in France and the restrictions and requirements in place here. 

Campus Week / Semaine Campus

A festive and welcoming "Campus Week" will be organized on Tuesday, September 14th and Wednesday, September 15th with a village of student organizations, the distribution of a meal/student ticket, music, cultural tickets...
