Call for Proposals

The European Commission is launching a €1 billion call for research and innovation projects aimed at addressing the climate crisis and helping to protect Europe's ecosystems and biodiversity. This call will boost Europe's recovery from the coronavirus crisis by turning ecological challenges into opportunities for innovation.

This investment, with a strong focus on innovation, will accelerate progress towards a just and sustainable transition to a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.

This call aims at perceptible results in the short and medium term, but with a long-term perspective for change. Actions are fewer in number, but more focused, visible and far-reaching, with an emphasis on rapid scalability, dissemination and adoption.

Projects funded under this call are expected to produce results with tangible benefits in 10 areas. For more information, see here.
