Festival Zef & Mer : Music and Migration

We welcome the Zef & Mer Festival at Le Tambour, a showcase for artistic creation aimed at the general public as well as professionals.



For this new edition, meetings will be held back-to-back with the annual seminar of the SFE (French Ethnomusicology Society), which will focus on the theme of Music and migration in Brittany and elsewhere

Program :

  • 15:30 pm: Lecture by Claire Pujol (Doctoral student in ethnomusicology, Rennes 2) on Breton lamentations in migration between Brittany, Quebec and Louisiana (17th-19th centuries)
  • 16:00: Interlude county and musical by the bottom Duo
  • 16:15 : Conference by Denis Laborde (EHESS). Ethnography of the presence of migrant musicians in the village of Baïgorry, Basque Country
  • 17:15 : Interlude county and musical by the Duo of the bottom
  • 17:30 : Break
  • 17:45 : Round table on "Music and Migration". Animation Glenn Jégou
  • 7:15 pm: Break
  • 19:30: Concert of the Duo du bas (45mn)
