Research at Rennes 2 University

We work closely with the National Center for Scientific Research (Centre national de la recherche scientifique: CNRS) to generate knowledge and institutional recognition for our 5 joint research units. Working together, the research undertaken has made Rennes 2 a strong reference center principally in the fields of:

• Physical and social geography
• Sport sciences
• History
• Art, Archaeology and Literature
• Psychology
• Area linguistics studies
• Educational sciences
• Socio-economics and sustainable development

We also focus on a number of transversal themes that are split between several of our labs, including: body, gender and violence; the culture of books; reflection on the value and impact of Humanities and Social Sciences; and digital humanities.
