The Villejean Campus (the main campus)

Rennes 2 University's largest campus, the Villejean campus, is home to 18,000 students studying Arts, Literature, Communication (ALC), Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences. Located in the northwest of the city of Rennes (in the Villejean district), the campus is home to a large number of facilities dedicated to research and teaching, as well as cultural and sporting activities.

It is also home to the French language-learning centre: the CIREFE.

18 of our research units are based on the Villejean campus, benefiting from the proximity of administrative services and infrastructure set up to ensure optimal working comfort.

Campus life

In addition to finding numerous arts and culture venues, you can study in the many campus libraries, experiment at Edulab or take advantage of the many computer rooms accessible on campus.  You'll also find the student health service on hand to help you enjoy your studies with peace of mind.

While benefiting from the conviviality of a campus on a smaller scale, students have access to the services of any major university:

  • a health and social services office (SSE),
  • a dynamic inter-university physical and sports activities service (SIUAPS),
  • student orientation and support through the SUIO (Service Universitaire d'Information et d'Orientation),
  • the opportunity to study abroad,
  • quality facilities and proximity to the teaching and administrative staff.

Supported in its development by the Agglomération de Saint-Brieuc and the Département des Côtes d'Armor, the briochin university cluster is set to continue its expansion and become an even more integral part of the local landscape.
