At the end of October, just before the Toussaint vacation period, Rennes 2’s Villejean campus hosts a Halloween festival, centered on artistic creation, social interaction and fun during this convivial event. Students are invited to participate in activities such as pumpkin carving, Halloween parties, wand sculpting and other recreational activities, but there’s also much more to the yearly festival. Included on the program are also conferences on topics such as climate change, economics and the future of higher education.
Creativity and cooperation between student organizations
Over 20 different student organizations have come together to create the magical ambiance, now available for all to enjoy. While some have helped to decorate the different common areas of buildings on the Villejean campus, others have helped to lead the various artistic workshops and have taken the lead in coordinating the conference schedule.
Working together, our students have also created a haunted house, available for all to visit and a new Escape Game: Wild Wild Quest. In the game, created by the Student Pirate Union, teams compete as bounty hunters in the far west. This activity is not held in a traditional escape room but is a life-size investigation game with an immersive atmosphere.
Almost all activities are free, or require only small contributions from our students.
