During the Franco-Thai Conference on Higher Education, Research and Innovation, held on 14 and 15 May 2026 in Bangkok, Valeria Pansini, Vice-President for International Affairs, participated, on behalf of the President of Rennes 2 University, in the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) / framework agreement with Naresuan University, represented by its President, Sarintip Tantanee.

The signing took place in the presence of Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, French Ambassador to Thailand, and Yodchanan Wongsawat, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Thailand.

A key event for scientific dialogue between France and Thailand, the conference brought together researchers, institutional leaders and representatives of major organisations to discuss future cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education, research and innovation.

This agreement further strengthens the academic and scientific ties between  Rennes 2 and Naresuan University, particularly in the areas of languages, humanities and intercultural exchange. It follows the visit of a delegation from the Faculty of Humanities at Naresuan University to  Rennes 2 in May 2024.

Through this partnership, Université Rennes 2 continues to expand its international cooperation in Asia and reaffirms its commitment to intercultural dialogue and international academic collaboration.
