Les Champs Libres and the Museum of Brittany are joining forces with Rennes 2 University to organize the Rencontres d'histoire: Meetings, conferences, screenings and captivating visits on the theme "The city, a whole world" will be offered throughout the week, with Hélène Noizet and Cédric Fériel.
Historically speaking, urbanized populations have only recently become the norm. But, the urban phenomenon has always held a central place in human societies. Living in the city marks identities and is often a sign of political or cultural distinction. But the city is a complex and changing entity, both in its form and in its population. The week's events can help to better understand this diversity: from the ancient citadels to the districts of Rennes, a whole world awaits you!
Free admission subject to availability.
