From April 3rd - 5th, Rennes 2 University will be participating in the 10th edition of the JACES program.
JACES aims to be a showcase for the cultural and artistic achievements of institutions and to provide access to culture for as many people as possible. It will be the opportunity to highlight some of the artistic and cultural events that occur in collaboration with higher education institutions.
With the help of Rennes 2's Cultural Services Office, we invite all of our community to come see, hear discover, and participate in the program prepared by the Cultural Services Office of Rennes 2.

Art & Essai Gallery
Michel Blazy at the Art & Essai Gallery at Rennes 2
Like every year, the students of the Master's degree in Exhibition Arts and Crafts take over the Art & Essai Gallery and invite you to discover the work of a new artist of international renown. Transmutation of knowledge and conservation is an in situ installation by Michel Blazy that is part of the university's ecosystem. This immersive work submerges the public in a sensory, visual and olfactory journey, questioning the themes of consumption and waste.

Selected for a "Parcours Trans" (pedagogical and cultural course with the association Les Trans, aiming to accompany various publics to the discovery of the musical festival Transmusicales and more widely of the Rennes scene - Ubu), the students of the inter-university diploma program "Orienter Réfléchir Agir", co-organized by Rennes 1 and Rennes 2 - worked throughout the semester with and around the Rencontres Transmusicales and the Rennes contemporary music scene, within the framework of their course "Expressions et Langages".
Rich in their encounters and discoveries, they propose to come back, in images, on the different professions they discovered throughout the semester.

Awards ceremony - "Faites court!" writing contest

Prize-giving ceremony for the "Faites court !" student writing contest on the theme of wandering.
For its 24th edition, Faites court ! invited the participants to take hold of the different meanings of wandering. Proposed by the Cultural Office of Rennes 2 University, the writing contest was this year in resonance with the theme of the 12th edition of the Transversales Festival: roaming. Open to all, this award ceremony will be the occasion to unveil the winning texts of the contest, selected by a jury composed of professionals. On this occasion, the actress Chloé Maniscalco will do us the honor of reading the winning texts. This reading will also be broadcast on the student radio station C-lab.

As part of the Arts Week, the students of the Digital Creation Master are happy to propose an exhibition of their personal or research works to question our uses and our appropriation of the digital. Their digital projects point out the way new technologies act around us and how we can exploit them, divert them, criticize them and finally give them meaning.

The winning bands of the 9th edition of the Tremplin musiques actuelles de l'université will perform on the stage on April 6th at 9pm. Discover the disturbing voice of Emie Baron, the dancing music of Eise and the crazy energy of ATR!UM during this highlight of the cultural season!
The next day, same place, same time, vibrate with us on accoustic and electronic African sounds during a double set concert with the groups Yeko and Songø. Both concerts will be filmed and recorded by the students of the professional degree TAIS-CIAN, in collaboration with the CREA of the University Rennes 2. They will be available live and in replay on the platform l'Aire d'U.
