This year's theme:
The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world. It emits more greenhouse gases than international flights and maritime traffic combined. Clothes have become an important part of our lives. They are sold at attractive prices; we buy more of them and we keep them for shorter periods. Their manufacturing involves many steps and processes that sometimes harm the environment and the people who make and wear them. On a daily basis, we can all act to reduce the environmental impact linked to our clothing. Through simple actions, we have the power to make a difference.
During the week, Rennes 2 will host a number of events linked to these and other questions.
Second-hand sale: You want to give a second life to your clothes? Do you want to buy second-hand and inexpensive clothes? Meet us on Thursday, March 30 from 4 to 8 pm in the Pina Bausch room (Érève building).
Round table: The underbelly of fast-fashion: Éthique sur l'Étiquette, le Relais Bretagne, Zéro Waste Pays de Rennes and Fripe Tonik propose a round table on the issue of fast-fashion. More information to come!
