The CMI Rennes: Helping to answer questions for individual mobility students arriving for the Fall semester

If you’ll be arriving on one of our campuses for an individual mobility project during the next academic year, the International Mobility Centre in Rennes (CMI Rennes) can help you prepare your arrival.

Moving is always an adventure, and even more so when it's abroad! To help ease any concerns or provide assistance with specific questions, the CMI Rennes is currently hosting a number of Q and A sessions online to help prepare soon-to-be international students even before their arrival in France. Common questions often center around: administrative procedures, visas, residence permits, health insurance, how to find accommodation once in Rennes, as well as tips for meeting other students and what to do and see in the city /region.

International Students' Day with the CMI Rennes

New international students, PhD students and researchers studying in Rennes, the CMI invites you to join them for their welcome event on Thursday, September 7th.  Come and share a friendly time, get informed and meet other students!  On the agenda: information and welcome packs for newcomers, entertainment, gifts, guided tours of Rennes city center, possibility to reserve spots for cultural events organized by the CMI and partner organizations.

  • For: All Rennes-based International Students / Researchers
  • When: September 7, 2023 (from 1 - 6:30pm)

The CMI Rennes: activities and goals 

The CMI Rennes provides support for incoming or outgoing international mobility to different types of end-users:

  • Incoming mobility: International undergraduate, graduate and PhD students and researchers in Rennes
  • Outgoing mobility: undergraduate and graduate students, PhD students or researchers from higher education institutions in Rennes wanting to go abroad to study or conduct research.

The CMI Rennes has been given three main goals:

  • To leverage resources so as to optimize the efficiency and quality of the facilities provided for international undergraduate, graduate and PhD students, and researchers when they come to Rennes.
  • To help member institutions develop international mobility for their own students and staff.
  • To encourage interaction and mutual understanding between people of different backgrounds and cultures.
