Taught entirely in Spanish, LitoÑoral will allow participants to explore the environmental, cultural and linguistic characteristics of different European coastal regions while developing their intercultural and multilingual skills through international teamwork.
The programme combines three half-days of online activities with a week of in-person mobility in Saint-Brieuc. An initial online phase will take place in October, followed by the on-site programme from 2 to 6 November and a final online session the following week.
Combining Collaborative Learning and Field Experience
During their stay in Brittany, students will take part in workshops, collaborative projects and field visits along the coastline, including Binic-Étables-sur-Mer, Fort La Latte and the Maison de la Baie in Hillion.
Using a challenge-based learning approach, international student teams will work together to develop creative responses to issues related to coastal regeneration. The week will conclude with presentations of their projects to a jury on Friday 6 November.
LitoÑoral reflects the EMERGE Alliance's commitment to innovative teaching, multilingualism and international cooperation rooted in regional challenges.
At Université Rennes 2, the programme is organised by Juanita Robayo Beltran and Maria Lomeña, lecturers in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages (LEA), with the involvement of Paul Bujon, Officer for Initial and Continuing Education within the EMERGE project.
