The Rennes 2-coordinated international project DECLAME'FLE has received the LEL award in recognition of the innovative work undertaken in the field of language learning. The project, which was launched in 2019, was created with the dual objectives of meeting the challenge of intercultural dialogue in a context of increasing migration, and proposing an innovative pedagogical approach based on new technologies and the co-construction of novel digital Open Educational Resources (OER). This gave form to the creation of a collaborative space for teachers and trainers of French as a foreign language to share and co-construct methodological, didactic and pedagogical tools.

Coordinated by the Didactique des Langues master's team and the LIDILE research unit at Rennes 2 University, this project is unique in that it is based on contemporary literary works dealing with migration and exile. The innovation lies as much in the resources created - Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), methodological kits and enriched textbooks, tutorials, bibliographies of works with an interactive map... - and in the collaborative pedagogical tools used to produce them. The numerous productions resulting from the project were accompanied by virtual digital spaces, designed as places for sharing resources, collaborative work and networking.

In a context marked by the pandemic, the three European partners (France, Slovakia and Poland) intensified the use of ICT and distance learning, thus increasing the international dimension of DECLAME'FLE. This Erasmus+ European cooperation project mobilized teacher-researchers and students of many different nationalities. The 20 events organized in hybrid format were an opportunity to forge or strengthen links with some 30 institutions in Africa, America and Asia: the final seminar brought together no less than 19 nationalities.

Launch of the MOOC "enseigner la littérature en français langue étrangère" (teaching literature in French as a foreign language)

The DECLAME'FLE project has also just delivered a new product: the MOOC "enseigner la littérature en français langue étrangère". Officially launched on the occasion of the European Day of Languages, Tuesday September 26, at an event held at Rennes 2 University (Villejean Campus) but also online, in the new virtual world Rennes2D*.

This online course offers a corpus of texts written by allophone authors who have become French-language writers. Reading and analyzing these texts evokes a common or close experience for learners, and encourages them to reflect on their own approach to French-language literature.

All the resources and productions of the DECLAME'FLE project are available online, and will soon be available in the Rennes2D virtual world. In particular, they will feed into research projects such as DemoES AIR (Augmenter les interactions à Rennes), led by the University of Rennes in collaboration with the University of Rennes 2, with the aim of developing operational solutions to increase and enrich pedagogical interactions through digital means.

*soon accessible to the entire university community.
