Our French-language Centre, the CIREFE, (located on our campus) also offers students the opportunity to improve their French prior to, during or independently of their studies.

Our establishment's research strategy allows the community to actively participate in major societal issues such as health, education, digital, culture, politics and sustainable development among others.
Working in close collaboration with national and affiliated laboratories, our researchers are well recognized in their respective domains, as witnessed by the volume of scientific publications, events organized within the institution, national and European research contracts awarded, participation in national and international partnerships and labs, and the number of doctoral students. The city of Rennes is also a foremost centre for scientific and technological research, including in the fields of Humanities and Social Studies.
