Description

The BIENVENÜE post-doctoral programme - “Welcoming highly-talented international post-docs in Brittany”, being led by the Région Bretagne, in partnership with 8 regionally implanted research institutions (universities and research centres), aims to recruit 75 post-doctoral fellows with high-level international profiles in Breton research laboratories. It will be implemented over a period of 5 years, from November 1st, 2020 - 2025 and is co-funded by the European Union through its Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

The BIENVENÜE program aims to:
  • reinforce the human potential of Brittany’s research in the long term, by attracting high level international post-doctoral fellows with heightened conditions in terms of salary, working environment, training and networking;

  • increase the visibility and attractiveness of Brittany’s leading research and innovation domains;

  • support the implementation of the Regional Research and Innovation Strategy – Breton RIS3 and contributing to the territorial development.

The BIENVENÜE post-doctoral projects should be developed by the applicant, in conjunction with their supervisor. The applicant may choose the theme of their project, as long as it is in line with the strategic innovation areas of the Regional Research and Innovation Strategy – Breton RIS3. The project must take place in Brittany.

To be eligible, the applicant must, at the deadline of the call, be in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least 4 years of full-time equivalent research experience. They must also have resided or worked/studied at least 24 months outside of France in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.
