The Russian Department seeks to provide students with an advanced understanding of the Russian language (written and oral), culture (literature, cinema, theater), and historical, political and economic contexts. The program, which is traditionally is classically-oriented, is very open to the contemporary Russian world and relies on an effective and active international exchange policy.
A Bachelor’s degree from the program indicates that the holder is able to express themself, orally and in written form, in Russian and French. It ensures that the holder can translate from one language to the other. It also guarantees a good knowledge of Russian culture, history and civilization. It should also facilitate the continuation of studies for students pursuing a Master's degree or a thesis in Russian studies.
