In order to affirm its commitment to the promotion of equality between women and men and the fight against stereotypes and discrimination, Rennes 2 University has set up an Equality mission.
It is in line with the Charter for Equality between Women and Men (2013) and the law for real equality between women and men (2014).
Orange Day
Echoing the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Presidency building was lit up in orange, a symbol of a fairer world without violence against women, to spread a message of zero tolerance for violence against women.
In 2017, the UN Women France committee awarded the title of "Orange Day Champion" to the University of Rennes 1, the University of Rennes 2 and the ENS Rennes for their initiatives to fight violence against women for the second consecutive year.
Rennes 2 University reaffirms the importance of a collective mobilization by joining the Orange Day, organized by the UN and relayed by the UN Women France Committee.

The Mardis de l'égalité (Equality Tuesdays)
This series of events focuses on reflections concerning gender equality and the fight against discrimination. First launched at the Rennes 2 University in 2016, it has now garnered a significant audience, and become national with the online broadcasting of the events held during the Covid crisis.
