Equality Actions at Rennes 2

Rennes 2 University is committed to promoting equality between women and men and fighting against stereotypes and discrimination.

Our university has set up an Equality Mission in line with the Charter for Equality between Women and Men (2013) and the law for real equality between women and men (2014).

Rennes 2’s Equality Mission leads and coordinates the university’s policy concerning equality, the fight against sexist and sexual violence, and the fight against discrimination. It is politically supported by a dedicated Vice-President and coordinated by a Mission Officer from the Presidency team. It helps all departments, components, research units, and students to implement actions towards equality and nondiscrimination.

The Equality Mission aims to elaborate, structure, and implement a coherent, interdisciplinary, and institutional policy.

It builds on a network of point people involved with research labs and works in close collaboration with administrative departments, components and student associations, along with institutional and community partners from the area.

The Mardis de l'égalité (Equality Tuesdays)

The Mardis de l’égalité are a series of events organized on Tuesdays throughout the year. They focus on reflections concerning gender equality and the fight against discrimination. First launched at Rennes 2 University in 2016, they have now garnered a significant audience and become national with the online broadcasting of the events, held during the COVID crisis.

Watch the filmed conferences on the university’s media platform.
